How It Works:

The Cold Sparks Machine operates using a specially formulated composite powder (Cold Sparks Powder), sold in 7 oz. bags. Each bag provides an estimated 10-15 minutes of running spark time, depending on your specific usage.

Actual duration will vary based on factors such as:

• Burst Length – Are you triggering quick 5-second effects or extended 45-second bursts?
• Spark Height – Lower heights use less powder, while maximum height (up to 15 ft.) consumes more.

All of these variables play into how long a bag of Cold Sparks Powder lasts. That's why we estimate 10-15 minutes of running spark time to give you flexibility in planning your effect.

Spark Height Modes:

The Cold Sparks Machine must be set to Mode 4, 5, or 6 to run properly.

• Mode 4 — Low
• Mode 5 — Medium
• Mode 6 — High

Do NOT attempt to run the machine on Mode 1, 2, or 3. The machine will not produce sparks and may cause internal clogging, damaging the machine.

Important Safety Information:

• Read the full instruction manual thoroughly before use.
• Do not attempt to disassemble machine or perform maintenance. Any repairs must be completed by Global Special Effects.
• Always ensure the machine is dry. Keep away from rain, snow, and moisture. Store in a dry, sealed environment.
• Make sure the lid on the Sparks Powder tank is secure. Accidental burning of Sparks Powder may be extinguished with sand.
• Keep the audience and any flammable materials 6-8 ft. away from the machine.
• Ensure Sparks Powder is clear from the pipe before and after use.
• Do not daisy-chain more than three machines on a single power source.
• Run time should not exceed 60 seconds. Prolonged use will overheat the machine and cause internal damage. Allow a short pause after extended use.
• Do not block the air intake, air outlet, or nozzle.
• Do not use in extreme wind speeds.

DMX Control:

The Cold Sparks Machine is equipped with one-channel DMX and works with either 3-pin or 5-pin sockets. When using DMX, the machine must be set to a minimum of 70% to turn on — on a standard 512 DMX, a minimum value of 359 is required to power on.
